Kevin Gilbank

Founder, CEO

Kevin is a co-founder of TERIC and has been the President and Chief Executive Officer since December 2013. Kevin has over 15 years of oil and gas experience with a specialization in operations, infrastructure project management and execution team leadership. Prior to co-founding TERIC, Kevin has held increasingly senior roles within Shell Canada overseeing various projects beginning in 2007. Kevin has a Masters of Applied Science (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of Ottawa, a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree (Honours) from the University of Dundee and a Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma from Durham College.

Craig Barnes

Founder, Vice-President – Development 

Craig is a co-founder of TERIC and has held the position of Vice-President, Development since December 2013. Craig has extensive commercial, project management and execution team leadership experience in the oil and gas midstream sector. Craig was a project manager in the Engineering Group at both Enbridge Pipelines and Plains Midstream Canada, prior to co-founding TERIC. Craig holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and held a Project Management Professional designation from the Project Management Institute.

 

Kolja Vainstein

Vice-President – Projects

Kolja has over 15 years of renewable energy experience developing and constructing utility scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects.  A large portion of his career has been focused on project engineering and design including site prospecting, permitting, energy assessment, environmental evaluation, interconnection, cost estimating, logistics, and community engagement.  He has led several multidisciplinary teams to successfully develop projects that currently operate in various jurisdictions across the country.  Kolja has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of New Brunswick and is a registered engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).

Shawn McDonald

General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

Shawn has held positions in the oil and gas industry, with both private and publicly traded companies, including Director, President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, Chief Financial Officer, Vice-President Business Development and Vice-President Land. Shawn holds a Bachelor of Commerce – Finance, and a Bachelor of Laws both from the University of Calgary.

Glen Phelps has over 25 years of experience in private equity and corporate development across diverse industries, with proven return results demonstrating skills in identifying and driving value creation opportunities.

Glen’s strengths are in deal origination, relationship building, diligence, project & corporate finance, with a strong track record of exceptional investment returns (3x-10x) as an active private equity partner.

Glen has originated and acquired 2, $100 million+ businesses in construction sector, and partnered in over $2 billion in project and corporate finance.
