The team at TERIC Power is happy to announce that they have been awarded two significant grants through Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA). The grant funding will be used to progress the following two TERIC designed and developed projects:

TERIC eLAB Battery Project
at the Keyera AEF facility

TERIC Power is installing a 10 megawatt battery technology at Keyera’s Alberta EnviroFuels plant in Edmonton to provide energy storage to both the industrial facility and the Alberta grid.

As the Alberta electrical grid continues to evolve to the benefit of Albertans, industrial consumers are leveraging new technologies to also participate in this transition. The funding through Emissions Reduction Alberta will assist TERIC Power and Keyera in proving the eLAB Battery Project at the Keyera AEF facility as both an instrument to support operational stability, and a critical load shaping tool to reduce demand on the grid.

TERIC Fluiditi
Battery Storage Project

TERIC Power’s Fluiditi Battery Storage Project is being developed to help deliver cost competitive and reliable power with reduced GHG emissions, through time-shifting renewable energy generation, and providing grid operating services to the Alberta Electric System Operator.

TERIC Power’s Fluiditi Battery Storage project is a commercially innovative pilot deployment showcasing the ability for battery energy storage to time-shift renewable energy generation in the market, resulting in reduced GHG emissions, and to support the power grid to the benefit of all Albertans. TERIC is appreciative of the Government of Alberta and ERA’s support and funding of this innovative project.
