eReserve1 was the first of the large utility scale energy storage projects that TERIC developed. The project utilizes TESLA’s Megapack1, and provides all power into the Alberta Interconnected Electrical System (AIES). The Lithium-Ion Battery storage system is a stand-alone facility that stores electricity to discharge into the local distribution system upon demand from the Alberta Electric System Operator (“AESO”).
